Your one stop for all that's happening in the Enver Creek Music Department
More about us!

About the Music Program
Here at the Enver Creek Music Program, we are dedicated to providing students proficient music opportunities and fostering life-long relationships with music through performance in band. Students will develop a range of instrumental skills including rhythmic, musical notation, and tonal skills as well as acquire knowledge about music theory and music skills. In the past, ensembles have taken trips to Whistler, the Okanagan Music Festival, and Disney Land, and we hope to be taking many more in the future. The Music Programs include 5 Concert Bands, a Guitar Class, and an Jazz Band. The Enver Creek Music Program is for all students, whether you’re a beginner or experienced musician. Currently, the Music Program provides musical experience to approximately 175 students, but we’re only getting started!

Mr. Dihan Weeratunge
As head of the Music and Performing Arts Department, Mr. Weeratunge graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of British Columbia and had 9 years of teaching experience before starting his position at Enver Creek in 2020. During his time at Enver Creek, he hopes to grow the Music Program in to a thriving community that values connectivity to each other through music. To find out more about the Music Program, you can contact him at weeratunge_d@surreyschools.ca or visit him in Room 121.
